Day 3

Subject: [firstname]: Here's how to change your mind for the better.

Hey [firstname]!

Sometimes getting the successful life you were born to achieve comes down to changing your mindset. Specifically I mean by changing your negative mindset for a positive one.

Most of us are conditioned from childhood not to get our hopes up with regard to what we can achieve in life. My grandmother used to call it “being realistic”. Maybe when she was growing up and people didn't expect much from life, she may have had a point.

Times are way different today than they were back in our grandparents' day. What's realistic now is very different from what it was back then. We have opportunities they would have never have dreamed of. New opportunities and innovations are coming on-stream every day. Now is a great time to be alive!

The problem is…

As we grow up, our childhood enthusiasm for all things new and untested starts to wane, and we begin to err on the site of caution. Sometimes we become cynical and dismiss new ideas out of hand because they're not “realistic” or because we may have tried them in the past and they didn't work. However, just because something didn't work in the past doesn't mean it won't work now!

Let me tell you something…

If you've done your homework and made a plan like we talked about yesterday, you should have a pretty good idea whether it's going to work or not. All you have to do is really BELIEVE you can succeed.

Like Henry Ford said: “It doesn't matter if you think you can or think you can't; either way you're right.”

Once you've got your plan sorted out, you can work towards your goal with confidence in the knowledge that it's “realistic” and you'll be successful.

Talk soon!
